Over the past decade of study and certification, we have observed a growing dilemma in the personal growth community: self discovery is absolutely essential, BUT focusing only on the individual often results in isolation and loneliness. Exacerbated by political and religious division, how can we do our part in coming back together in community and oneness? Is it possible to do the hard work of self growth without losing empathy and connection with the world around us?

Through a combination of life coaching and spiritual direction, we are offering the unique opportunity to discover your unique self, and see that self in a passionate walk with God and healthy connection with other.

April Herren

Co-FOUNDER and Life Coach

April is a founding operator of Your Awakened Life. She is a Master Certified Retreat Coach (MCRC), a Certified NeuroTransformational Coach (CNTC), and a Certified Narrative Enneagram Practitioner. April also completed 208 hours of coach training through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and 200.5 hours in the Co-Active Leadership program with CTI.  She is the Atmosphere Specialist at Your Awakened Life and has been the Employee of the year each and every year!

Life Coaching with April

The last couple of years have been difficult for so many of us. Life has been more secluded, lonely, and anxious than we are used to. Difficult times can really bring out the more negative aspects of our personalities and the personalities of those we love. Now is a perfect time to do some deep personal work! The Enneagram is the most effective tool I have found to explore the patterns of suffering and the revelations of the true beauty in each of us. We may not be able to control the events happening around us. But we do have some control over our own emotional and mental health. You can expect to gain clarity on how your patterns and behaviors affect the relationships you have with yourself and others, and gain more empathy and compassion for yourself and those important people in your life. The whole idea is to have a healthier life with less suffering and more vibrancy and joy.

Marcom Herren

Co-Founder and Spiritual Director

Marcom practiced medicine (D.O.) for 25 years in Wichita Falls, TX before moving to New Mexico and now is co-owner/operator of Your Awakened Life. He is a Retreat Coach, training through the Coaches Training Institute in 2012.  In addition, Marcom is a Certified NeuroTransformational Coach (CNTC) using brain science in his approach to personal and group coaching.  He is currently certifying through The Narrative Enneagram as a professional teacher of the Enneagram and he is completing his second year in The Living School with the Center for Action and Contemplation. Marcom has consistently come in second for Employee of the Year here at Your Awakened Life!

Spiritual Direction with Marcom

Personal Coaching is a rare opportunity to explore all that's going on beneath the surface of your life and discover how it's impacting you now. Together, we'll use the Enneagram (an ancient wisdom map) as well as current neuroscience to unpack the problems you're experiencing, begin to recognize the patterns that led you to this point, and find new opportunities for growth and healing. For some, this may be a season of recovering your True Self that's been inside all along or a time to reassess how you want to live the Second Half of Life, honoring your deepest held values.
